SoftAtHome Collaborates with Broadcom Wi-Fi 8 Roadmap prpl Integration

PARIS, France – 26 February 2026 – SoftAtHome, an independent software company specializing in broadband, video, and analytics, today announced the strengthening of its long-standing partnership with Broadcom to accelerate Wi-Fi 8 deployments on prpl-based platforms for leading broadband operators.

Broadcom and SoftAtHome share a proven track record of successful deployments of advanced broadband services with Tier-1 operators, including Orange, Swisscom, KPN, O2, Telenor, and many others.

As the industry prepares for Wi-Fi 8, operators are increasingly focused on being among the first to introduce next-generation connectivity. This transition combines higher performance, lower latency, and increased reliability to support emerging services and device-dense homes. In parallel, prpl continues to establish itself as the open ecosystem of choice. Broadcom and SoftAtHome are spearheading this transition within the prpl framework, ensuring the software stack is fully optimized to leverage the hardware breakthroughs of Wi-Fi 8.

By deepening their collaboration, Broadcom and SoftAtHome aim to accelerate Wi-Fi 8 readiness on prpl platforms. Broadcom, acting as the lead silicon partner for SoftAtHome’s Wi-Fi 8 initiatives, provides the foundational high-performance chipsets and pioneering driver adaptations for the prpl Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL). SoftAtHome contributes its carrier-grade software experience with Tier-1 operators and its deep expertise in Wi-Fi and prpl through its active role within the prpl Foundation.

SoftAtHome, powered by Broadcom’s silicon solutions, has already delivered industry firsts, including a world-first Wi-Fi 6E deployment with Orange’s Livebox 6 and a Swiss-first Wi-Fi 7 deployment with Swisscom. Building on this momentum, Broadcom’s Wi-Fi 8 reference designs integrated with SoftAtHome’s technology stack will be available in 2027, enabling operators to continue leading early market adoption.

Demonstrations of SoftAtHome’s Value-Added Services running on Broadcom’s latest Wi-Fi 8 platforms will be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona (Hall5 – Booth i59).

“Broadcom is pleased to serve as the lead technology partner for SoftAtHome as the industry moves toward Wi-Fi 8,” said Manny Patel, vice president of marketing in Broadcom’s Wireless and Broadband Communications Division. “By anchoring SoftAtHome’s carrier-grade software to our industry-leading Wi-Fi 8 silicon, we are defining the future of the prpl ecosystem and helping operators accelerate innovation while delivering reliable, future-ready home connectivity.”

“Our partnership with Broadcom has consistently translated advanced Wi-Fi technologies into real-world deployments for leading operators,” said Arnaud Bellivier de Prin, CEO of SoftAtHome. “As we prepare for Wi-Fi 8 on prpl, this strengthened collaboration enables operators to move
