PARIS, France – October 14th, 2022 – SoftAtHome, an independent software company for broadband, video, and analytics, and HUMAX Networks, a leading provider of video and broadband customer premises equipment (CPE), are extending their partnership to home gateways. Both partners are developing open-source solutions as members of the prpl Foundation.
SoftAtHome and HUMAX Networks have been partners for several years for video solutions. They are now teaming up for joint connectivity solutions, such as Home Gateways and Wi-Fi repeaters, using prplOS.
With this extended partnership, operators will benefit from open-source-based solutions for their Internet equipment within the home. Since 2016, SoftAtHome has been an active member of the prpl Foundation, the open-source software organization, and is playing the role of primary code developer and code maintainer for the prpl carrier-grade broadband and CPE open-source stack.
