SoftAtHome, a qualified Alexa Solution Provider, now enables voice control from connectivity devices within the home
PARIS, France – September 7th, 2022 – SoftAtHome, an independent software company for broadband, video, and analytics, announced new voice control features now available on many devices, with demos available on smart speakers, traditional set-top boxes and now Home Gateways and repeaters. SoftAtHome joined the Amazon Alexa Solution Provider network in 2021.
End-users are more and more using their voice as a more convenient way of managing their devices. With the deployments of its Watch’ON solutions in several European markets, SoftAtHome is a leading player in voice control integration into devices in the home using far-field and push-to-talk and running on RDK, Android or Linux OS.
SoftAtHome previously integrated Alexa Built In smart speakers with Orange and Deutsche Telekom and have integrated Ring doorbell interoperability for the set-top-box. SoftAtHome now announced an off-the-shelf solution to expand Alexa voice control to Home Gateways and Wi-Fi repeaters to increase home coverage beyond the living-room. It enables voice as an additional feature to manage existing Wi-Fi repeaters, and provides more connectivity use cases to the home.
David Viret-Lange, CEO of SoftAtHome, said: “Voice assistants ease many aspects of our lives.
After video and IoT use cases, SoftAtHome adds connectivity skill to command by voice, device pairing over Wi-Fi, parental control settings for Internet access, Wi-Fi access for visitors or network speed tests as few examples. We can truly say that we cover the complete end-to-end set of services a provider may wish to bring to its subscribers for an outstanding home experience.”
SoftAtHome will be pleased to demonstrate Alexa integration on STB, Smart Speaker, and Wi-Fi repeaters in Hall 1, stand F30 during IBC Show from September 9th to 12th, 2022.
