Broadband Awards 2019: SoftAtHome Shortlisted Twice

Best Secured Network Initiative for Scan Security Solution with Orange

Best Network Intelligence for Eyes’On QoS Diagnosis

Colombes, France – September 27th, 2019 – SoftAtHome (G22), a leading software company for pay TV, connectivity, smart home and analytics, has been selected twice for this year’s Broadband Awards in the following categories: Best Secured network initiative with Orange for the Scan Security Solution and Best network intelligence for its eyes’ON QoS diagnosis solution.

Because everything is about security and privacy

SoftAtHome’s Secure’ ON product powers a Scan security solution. Acknowledging the fact that 90% of attacks can be detected before affecting the home network, SoftAtHome designs products to analyze network indicators in real-time using big data technology, monitoring all in-home devices, identifying and isolating those behaving suspiciously and automatically alerting when action is needed. Secure’ ON uses a mix of local intelligence running on the Home Gateway and a big/fast data architecture to detect digital intrusion and abnormal behaviour.

The existing user-friendly Ma Livebox application now includes a new Safety / Security menu for the Orange Scan Security solution. A mobile app informs the end-user of the status of any new devices detected on the LAN, whether they are secured or not. The app then guides the end-use step-by-step on how to secure devices as necessary.

Deep analysis of the network in real-time

The network quality is more than ever a priority for operators as their end-users demand the best QoS, whether at home or on the go. They require the best Wi-Fi or 4G connection, especially when they are watching a major sporting event on TV or at a critical moment in an online game. Controlling and managing the network’s capabilities are essential for operators. Eyes’ON provides a real-time evaluation of a network’s capacity to deliver essential services. It offers instant low-level connectivity analysis and diagnosis of the network for mobile, fixed-lines, Wi-Fi, Low-Power Wide-area networks, such as Sigfox or Lora. Home Gateways, set-top boxes, web browsers, IoT devices, mobile apps or any other consumer equipment can run in-depth network analyses in real-time, providing multiple KPIs, latency and packet loss, and root cause analysis.

The Broadband awards ceremony will take place during Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam on Wednesday, October 16th at the RAI’s Strandzuid.
