Broadband World Forum 2018: Orange France Introduces Smart Wi-Fi Powered by SoftAtHome

A mere upgrade of Orange’s Livebox with SoftAtHome software brings better Wi-Fi coverage and speed to millions of French subscribers

COLOMBES, France – 18 October 2018 – SoftAtHome (stand E101B Messe Berlin), the technology company dedicated to the digital home, is proud to announce that its software enables Orange’s French customers to get a better Wi-Fi connection at home.

At the beginning of October this year, the French operator also launched its “Répéteur Wi-Fi”, integrating SoftAtHome software. Thanks to this new product, a completely new Wi-Fi experience is now possible: Wi-Fi can now follow end-users around the house, automatically choosing the best connection method to enjoy a faster internet connection, highest quality TV and uninterrupted communications with friends. The new software delivers a high-performance secure Wi-Fi solution.

“Wi-Fi quality and connectivity have become as important as the air we breathe, to enjoy any digital service at home,” said Ollivier Courtel, head of home devices at Orange France. “By integrating SoftAtHome’s algorithms for intelligent in-home connectivity in our new Smart Wi-Fi repeaters, we offer a totally smooth and secured Wi-Fi experience at home to LiveBox 4 users.”

“We are proud to contribute to enrich Orange end-users’ experience at home,” added David Viret-Lange, CEO of SoftAtHome. “With just a software upgrade of the LiveBox, Orange customers can enjoy a stable, secure and high-performance Wi-Fi, and benefit from their favourite video or gaming services with no interruption.”

This announcement follows the introduction of the Smart Wi-Fi repeater in Orange Poland in September 2018.

Meet SoftAtHome in Stand E101B in Messe, Berlin, during Broadband World Forum from October 23rd to 25th 2018.
