SoftAtHome and Innopia Together to Reinvent OTT and HDMI Cast Dongles
Colombes, France – September 12 th , 2018 – SoftAtHome, the technology company dedicated to the digital home, and Innopia Technologies, the Korean-based global provider of media streamer and convergence products, today announced a strategic partnership to better serve Telcos and PayTV providers around the world with value-added TV services for their end-users. The partnership addresses OTT set-top boxes and HDMI dongles products. Both companies are experts in OTT set-top boxes and cast dongles and believe in the new consumption paradigm they created by eliminating barriers between different content sources, such as user generated content and live premium content and by converging all TV consumption technologies in a single portable device.
Powered by SoftAtHome’s agile software platform and using AMLogic S905X future-proof and powerful chipset, with 14K DMips, the joint solution will run SoftAtHome ImpressioTV, SoftAtHome modern user experience application designed for operators to transform content centric traditional Live TV into a portal of applications and services.
The joint solution will benefit from other features such as video streaming services such as YouTube and more to come and can work with a remote control or in a “CAST” mode with I cast TV.
