Accedo and SoftAtHome partner to deliver a home-store, open-standards appstore solution
Extended collaboration between Accedo and SoftAtHome to meet operators’requirement for a wide catalogue of apps designed for TV
TV Connect, Olympia, London, March 18, 2014 – Accedo, the global market leader in TV application solutions, and SoftAtHome, a provider of home operating platforms enabling convergent services for the digital home, today announced the extension of their partnership to develop an end-to-end Appstore solution.
Thanks to SoftAtHome’s SOP platform, this new home-store gives access to HTML5-based apps. Operators and their subscribers can easily access a deep catalogue of leading apps from Accedo’s extensive portfolio, including social media, video-on-demand, photo sharing, and casual games, amongst others.
With this home-store, operators will be able to address the wide range of differing subscriber requirements, enabling them to customise their environment and user experience, and eventually monetize home devices through applications.
