SoftAtHome’s application framework greatly simplifies both the development and the deployment of TV and connected device-based applications thanks to open standard API. SOP can be used to develop apps for core TV, gateway network management or interpersonal communication. The latter leverage SoftAtHome’s Telecoms expertise, but SOP can also enable applications based on web content or any applications developed by 3rd parties based on HTML5, HbbTV anor Android standards including games or infotainment. Of course, an app can leverage any combination of the above. SOP’s application framework enables operators to easily deploy features that are otherwise difficult to deploy in a TV context like for example embedded payment capabilities for commerce applications.
